DRUM CLASS This class offers the opportunity to master rhythm basics in a fun and exciting way. Even after learning to read music, the stumbling block that many musicins run into is correctly applying rhythm, counting and the cooordination involved in any style of music. For very young kids this class helps them conquer basic skills before they start any music program. They will improve their coordination as well as their musical sense. For those that are already taking lesson, it's also a wonderful way to reinforce what they are learning and increase confidence. Taught by Professional Percussionist and Teacher Scott Mensching, this exciting class engages children in the basics of rhythm and movement. Covered in the 8 week course are simple rhythm patterns, note values by sight and through playing various percussion instruments. The classes are 45 minutes in length and are designed to be a fun and exciting method of instruction. The kids play games to reinforce the lessons and may earn music money during the course of the games. To sign up: Fill out the Registration Form giving your three most available days/times.
