| Music Makers...for Life, Inc. Newsletter II August, 2008 |
| Dear Students and Parents: So many things are happening this summer that I have to send a second newsletter this month! This week you will receive final written confirmation for your fall times. There is little "wiggle-room", but if you need to change something let me know and I'll see what I can do. There's an exciting new class starting this fall: The Garage Band Workshop. It's open to advanced students as well as the general public. Click here for details: Garage Band Workshop. If you need a piano, I can direct you to someone that is giving theirs away for free. You just have to haul it. It's a smaller size (Spinet style) and would be great for those of you that are playing on keyboards and are advancing. A few of you had been looking for a piano tuner. Please notice the change of phone number for Mensching Piano Service. There's also a coupon (to the left) for $10.00 off. As a general reference to our class schedule for possible make up times throughout the year as well as Vocal Workshop classes, Garage Band times and the new classes that may be starting, please refer to the Schedule Page. Don't forget to forward this page to friends/family you think might be interested. They save on their first lesson and you get a free lesson credited to your invoice as well! "Thank you" to those of you that have been referring friends to Music Makers. You will see a credit on your next invoice. I've been getting requests recently to bring back a class that I used to teach years ago. It is for toddlers and will be offered during daytime hours. Here's the page explaining the class: Mini Mozarts See you very soon! | Yes, we'll do another $50.00 Music Dollar Question! What is the biggest, and musically (not technically) the most important, difference between the earlier keyboard instruments: (the organ, harpsichord and the clavichord), and the piano? In other words, what can a musician do with the piano, that they can not do on the organ, harpsichord and clavichord? |
