| Private Lessons VOICE LESSONS: Beginners, intermediate or advanced students. The diaphragm technique is taught. Vowel placement and proper breathing techniques are the basics. The style is your choice: Opera, Art songs, Religeous, Broadway, Popular, etc. Session times can be 1/2 hour, 45 minutes or One hour. PIANO LESSONS: Beginner, intermediate or advanced students learn to read and play music, as well as learning the theory behind the notes. GUITAR LESSONS: Beginners to 5 years. Learn to read music (not tablature), as well as chords and bar chords. Class Lessons Class Voice: Class size is 3 - 7. This is an 8 week course. | MUSIC MONEY AND PARTIES! When a student plays their lesson assignment with perfection, they receive a music dollar. Twice a year a music party is held which involves playing a piece in front of their peers (thus receiving five more music dollars!), playing informative music games, and purchasing their choice of items. The items range from music socks, music shirts, music pens, music pencils, music tote bags, CD's, picks, tuners.....well, you get the idea! ABOUT OUR PROGRAM: As with any skill worth learning, a certain amount of "work" is involved. Most people use the word "practice" when the skill required involves a musical instrument (including the Voice). Those that perceive this "practice" time as being enjoyable learn at a much faster pace than students that perceive it as "work". It is with this in mind that we keep my lessons as enjoyable as possible, while still maintaining a serious attitude about the music. MUSIC RECITAL Once a year a formal recital is held. All friends and family members are welcome to attend. |

| Music Makers is a private studio run by Mrs. Villec. Mrs. Villec has years of teaching experience in both the public school system as well as in private practice. She holds a Masters Degree in Music Education (with a choral Emphasis) and is Illinois Certified to teach general and choral Music for K - 12. Her performance background includes years of professional singing in all genres of music. She is currently the Music Teacher and Director for St. Thomas the Apostle School in Crystal Lake, Illinois.
