Dear parents and students:
The good news is that we still have a few more weeks of summer vacation! However, it is that time of the year to start thinking of the fall schedule.
I have signed on for yet another year with St. Thomas as their full-time music teacher/director. In addition, I will also be directing a choir for St. Thomas church on Sundays. Because of this tight schedule, I ask that you give me your three preferred times/days within a range of a few after-school hours on Mondays - Fridays on the attached registration form.
Please return the registration form by August 12, 2007.
Exciting news: I have hired two gifted professional musicians, Scott Mensching and Jeff Copland. In addition to playing professionally for over 30 years, both men have taught for many years. You can learn more about their credentials at the Music Makers…for Life, Inc. website. Scott teaches drums, and will be available on Saturdays only. Jeff teaches guitar and bass guitar and is available on Mondays and Thursdays from 3:00 - 9:00 pm for private lessons.
3rd and 4th year Guitar Students: If you are interested in learning the hot riffs and rock style of playing, it would be beneficial for you take lessons from Jeff. He will continue you on the path of reading music as well as teach you in this style of playing.
New this year: Family Discounts if at least one student is taking a class. 2 students qualifies the family for a 5% discount. 3 or more students qualifies the family for a 10% discount.
Other discounts: For those taking a class (not including vocal workshop), payment by semester allows a deduction of two classes or $40.00. Payment by year allows a deduction of 5 classes or $120.00.
As always, a successful referral is worth a free lesson. Just be sure to remind me if I forget to deduct it from your invoice. You can tell potential new students that rates did not increase this year and once they become students they are locked into that price. There will be walk-n registration for new students on the following dates: August 15, 16, 17, 22, and 23, 2007 from 1:00 - 5:00 pm.
