MUSIC DEPARTMENT WISH  LIST
2.
Our two pianos need tuning.   We need $130 to tune our grand piano in the music room and the piano in the cfeteria (used for Raue rehearsals).   We also need funds to put the latter piano on wheels.
2.
We need another drum set!  The one donated to us two years ago (thank you again Mr. & Mrs. Buettner)  has been put to much use:  almost every Wednesday at mass, during our Praise band rehearsals, the last two Raue plays, and of course the High Note Festival.   We would like another one so that we can keep one in the music room (for rehearsals) and one at Pierson Street Church so that we can simply carry it upstairs for mass, rather than plod through the snow with drums cymbals, amps, etc.  (we must be quite a sight!)  I would like to use the drums with  my Tuesday K - 4 students as we have at least one drummer in that age group.   The drum set can be a used set.

3. Monies  to purchase music for our choirs and plays.  This generally comes out of the PTO money given to me. This year much of the music used for the Christmas program came out of my budget for supplies.   Usually, however, I must type the words and the kids learn the songs without seeing the music.  We really should have multiple copies of
each piece so that the children learn to read music the proper way!

4.  Book shelves to be kept in the Pierson Street Church.

5.  Gather books:  the same green Gather books used at  Oak Street.  We received the blue Gather books as a donation and this has helped tremendously in our choirs' ability to add songs to our mass repertoire.  However, these blue books contin no Hymns.

4.  Book Shelves for the music room.

6.  Shelves attached to the walls in the music storage closet.

7.
Amplifiers to be kept in the music room for practice as well as at the Pierson Street church for performance.

8.  Computer and keyboard for music room specifically for the children in educational music technology projects.

9.   Monies for costumes in the plays.

Dear Parents/Students:

It is with deep regret that my time at St. Thomas School is coming to an end.  I have enjoyed making music with the hundreds of students attending our special school these last 5 years.

I have lived my entire life following the signs and whisperings of the Holy Spirit.   There is no doubt in my mind that God means for me to take my music studio, Music Makers…for Life, Inc. to the next level.   Because of that, I am certain that God has already chosen your next music teacher.   I’m convinced it will be someone wonderful!

My first true passion is my family.   I long to spend more time with my children, with my husband, our two dogs, and our two senior cats (18 and 19 years old!)   My professional passion is in teaching children to read music and play an instrument.  This is the reason Music Makers was born.    In His wisdom God presented me with miracles 2 years ago that opened the studio.   We are up to 80 students and 4 teachers, and it just keeps growing.    God found a way for me to combine the two desires:  I can work hours around my family’s needs and still pursue my profession and His will.

Thank you for the wonderful memories, support, and love you’ve shown throughout the years.  I will very much miss you!

Sincerely,

Theresa Villec
